Overview
The Assistant Manager – Bar will assist in the overall management and operation of the bar, ensuring the highest standards of service and guest satisfaction. This role involves supervising bar staff, maintaining inventory, ensuring compliance with health and safety regulations, and creating an inviting atmosphere for guests.
Key Responsibilities:
- Supervision: Assist in leading, training, and supervising bar staff to deliver exceptional service. Ensure all team members adhere to the hotel’s standards of operation.
- Customer Service: Greet guests, take orders, and provide recommendations on beverages and cocktails. Ensure guests have a memorable experience.
- Inventory Management: Assist in managing inventory levels, ordering supplies, and ensuring proper storage and stock rotation of all bar products.
- Menu Development: Collaborate with the Bar Manager to develop and implement innovative beverage menus that reflect current trends and guest preferences.
- Health & Safety Compliance: Ensure compliance with health, safety, and hygiene regulations, as well as responsible service of alcohol.
- Financial Management: Assist in monitoring bar expenses, controlling costs, and achieving budgeted revenue targets.
- Event Support: Support the Bar Manager in planning and executing special events, promotions, and themed nights to enhance guest experience and drive sales.
- Quality Control: Maintain high-quality standards in beverage preparation, service, and presentation. Conduct regular checks to ensure cleanliness and organization of the bar area.
- Guest Feedback: Handle guest complaints and feedback promptly and professionally, ensuring guest satisfaction at all times.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Hospitality Management, Business Administration, or a related field.
- Minimum 3 years of experience in bar management or a similar role in a luxury hotel or restaurant.
- Strong knowledge of beverage preparation, mixology, and current trends in the bar industry.
- Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and handle multiple tasks.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and Point of Sale (POS) systems.
