Overview

The Assistant Front Office Manager at The St. Regis Mumbai will support the Front Office Manager in managing the day-to-day operations of the front office, ensuring exceptional guest service, operational efficiency, and upholding the highest standards of hospitality. This role is critical in creating a warm, welcoming environment and maintaining the luxury service The St. Regis brand is known for.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist in overseeing all front office operations, including check-in, check-out, guest services, concierge, and reservations.
  • Ensure all front office staff provide exceptional guest service in line with St. Regis luxury standards.
  • Manage and motivate the front office team to ensure effective communication, smooth operations, and a positive work environment.
  • Assist in handling guest inquiries, complaints, and feedback with professionalism, ensuring swift resolutions.
  • Ensure all front office procedures, policies, and brand standards are followed and regularly updated.
  • Work closely with other departments (Housekeeping, Sales, F&B) to ensure seamless guest experiences.
  • Conduct training and development for front office staff, including new hire orientations and ongoing coaching.
  • Monitor and manage front office financial performance, including revenue tracking, upselling, and budget adherence.
  • Assist in staff scheduling, shift assignments, and ensuring adequate coverage during peak times.
  • Maintain and enhance relationships with VIP guests, ensuring personalized service.
  • Oversee front desk systems, including the Property Management System (PMS) and guest service platforms.
  • Ensure compliance with safety and security protocols.

Key Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Hospitality Management or a related field.
  • Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in a front office or guest service role within a luxury hotel environment.
  • Proven leadership abilities with experience managing and training teams.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to remain calm under pressure.
  • Proficient in hotel management software, such as Opera or similar systems.
  • High attention to detail and commitment to providing outstanding guest service.
  • Flexibility to work various shifts, including weekends, evenings, and holidays.
