Role Overview:

The Chief Project Manager will oversee the planning, execution, and delivery of large-scale power transmission projects. This role is pivotal in ensuring that projects are completed on time, within budget, and in compliance with safety and quality standards. The incumbent will collaborate with cross-functional teams, manage stakeholders, and drive the strategic vision of Sterlite Power.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Project Planning & Execution:
    • Lead end-to-end project management for transmission projects, including planning, resource allocation, and execution.
    • Ensure compliance with project scope, timelines, and budgets.
  2. Team Leadership:
    • Build, mentor, and manage a high-performing project team.
    • Foster a culture of accountability, collaboration, and excellence.
  3. Stakeholder Management:
    • Liaise with internal stakeholders, government authorities, contractors, and clients.
    • Address project challenges proactively and maintain positive relationships.
  4. Risk & Quality Management:
    • Identify potential risks and develop mitigation strategies.
    • Ensure adherence to quality, safety, and environmental standards.
  5. Budget & Financial Oversight:
    • Monitor project budgets, control expenditures, and achieve cost optimization.
    • Deliver financial reports and forecasts to the senior leadership team.
  6. Innovation & Best Practices:
    • Drive innovation in project execution methodologies.
    • Implement industry best practices to enhance efficiency and effectiveness.

Qualifications & Skills:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering (Electrical/Mechanical preferred); MBA is a plus.
  • 8+ years of experience in power transmission or infrastructure project management.
  • Proven track record of delivering large-scale projects on time and within budget.
  • Strong leadership, decision-making, and communication skills.
  • Expertise in project management tools and methodologies.
  • Familiarity with regulatory frameworks and compliance in the power sector.

Salary & Benefits:

  • Salary Range: ₹40–₹50 Lakhs per annum (negotiable based on experience).
