The Housekeeping Executive at Taj Bangalore is responsible for overseeing the daily operations of the housekeeping department, ensuring that high standards of cleanliness, hygiene, and guest satisfaction are consistently met. This role involves supervising housekeeping staff, coordinating tasks, and managing resources to maintain the luxury standards expected by Taj guests.


Key Responsibilities:

  1. Supervision & Management
    • Supervise daily housekeeping operations, including room cleaning, laundry, public areas, and back-of-house spaces.
    • Assign and monitor tasks, ensuring timely and high-quality service is delivered.
    • Oversee training, scheduling, and performance evaluation for housekeeping staff.
  2. Guest Satisfaction
    • Ensure all rooms and common areas are impeccably clean, well-maintained, and meet Taj’s luxury standards.
    • Address and resolve guest complaints regarding room cleanliness, amenities, or housekeeping services promptly.
    • Collaborate with the front office to respond to specific guest needs or requests.
  3. Inventory & Resource Management
    • Manage inventory for cleaning supplies, linens, and amenities, placing orders as necessary.
    • Conduct regular audits of supplies and equipment to prevent shortages.
    • Maintain budgets and cost controls related to housekeeping supplies and staffing.
  4. Safety & Compliance
    • Ensure that all cleaning processes adhere to safety protocols and hygiene standards.
    • Conduct regular inspections to ensure compliance with Taj’s cleanliness and safety standards.
    • Train staff on the correct use of cleaning equipment and chemical handling procedures.
  5. Team Development
    • Foster a positive work environment by motivating and encouraging the housekeeping team.
    • Organize regular training sessions to enhance the team’s skills and uphold Taj’s service standards.
    • Address any performance or behavioral issues within the team promptly and professionally.

Qualifications & Skills:

  • Education: Bachelor’s degree in Hospitality, Hotel Management, or a related field is preferred.
  • Experience: 2-4 years of experience in a housekeeping supervisory role in a luxury hotel setting.
  • Skills:
    • Strong leadership and organizational skills.
    • Excellent attention to detail and commitment to guest satisfaction.
    • Proficiency in housekeeping management software and MS Office.
    • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.

  • Working Conditions: Requires flexibility in work hours, including weekends and holidays, based on hotel occupancy and operational needs.
  • Physical Requirements: Ability to lift, push, and pull housekeeping equipment as required.
