The Job Role and Responsibilities of Industrial Trainees

A hotel management trainee is expected to gain a thorough understanding of the hospitality industry, with a focus on customer service. The following are the varied functions and responsibilities of each department:

Front Office

• Guests’ registration and room assignment
• Keep track of reservations, vacancies, and room assignments.
• Answer questions about hotel services, offer advice, and respond to complaints from visitors.

Food and Beverage

• Customers are greeted, shown to seats, meal and drink orders are taken, and food and beverages are served.
• Answer questions about the hotel’s amenities, including explaining menu items and specials and providing personalised attention.
• Organizing events, parties, and other activities in collaboration with team members.

Housekeeping

• Maintaining the hotel’s cleanliness and beauty is your responsibility.
• Servicing and maintaining guest rooms, as well as replacing supplies as needed.
• Providing service goods to customers’ rooms based on their requests

Production of Food

• Simple meal preparation such as vegetable preparation, salads, cold starters, and so on.
• Work in compliance with existing health and safety regulations. I kept the kitchen clean and sanitary.
• Keep an eye on the stock and place orders for replacements as needed.

Sales

• Individuals and corporations can purchase room privileges.
