As a Planning & Scheduling Engineer at TATA Consulting Engineers Limited, you will play a crucial role in the successful execution of projects. You will be responsible for developing, monitoring, and updating project schedules, ensuring efficient resource allocation, and identifying potential delays. Your analytical skills will help facilitate timely decision-making and enhance project delivery.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and maintain detailed project schedules using industry-standard software (e.g., Primavera P6, Microsoft Project).
- Collaborate with project managers and team leads to define project scope, objectives, and timelines.
- Analyze project schedules and identify critical paths and potential delays, providing recommendations for corrective actions.
- Coordinate with various stakeholders to gather project updates and integrate them into the scheduling framework.
- Prepare periodic progress reports and presentations for management and clients, highlighting key performance indicators and deviations from the plan.
- Participate in risk assessment and management activities, helping to mitigate project risks and enhance overall project execution.
- Ensure compliance with project management standards, methodologies, and best practices.
- Assist in resource planning, ensuring optimal utilization of personnel and materials throughout the project lifecycle.
- Support the implementation of continuous improvement initiatives related to planning and scheduling processes.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related field.
- Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in project planning and scheduling within the engineering or construction industry.
- Proficiency in planning and scheduling software (e.g., Primavera P6, Microsoft Project).
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with attention to detail.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, capable of working collaboratively with diverse teams.
- Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
- Familiarity with project management methodologies and tools.
Preferred Skills:
- Certification in Project Management (e.g., PMP, PMI-SP) is an advantage.
- Experience in industrial, infrastructure, or large-scale construction projects.
