Overview

We are hiring an energetic, passionate, and experienced candidate for the position of retail sales associate at Puma.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  1. Greet customers and provide them with a positive shopping experience.
  2. Assist customers in finding the right products based on their needs and preferences.
  3. Provide product information, features, and benefits to customers.
  4. Maintain knowledge of current sales and promotions to effectively communicate them to customers.
  5. Handle customer inquiries, complaints, and returns professionally and in a timely manner.
  6. Process point-of-sale transactions accurately and efficiently.
  7. Ensure the store is clean, organized, and well-stocked at all times.
  8. Monitor and replenish merchandise on the sales floor to maintain adequate inventory levels.
  9. Collaborate with team members to achieve sales targets and store objectives.
  10. Stay updated on new product arrivals, trends, and industry developments.
  11. Participate in training programs and meetings to enhance product knowledge and sales skills.
  12. Assist in visual merchandising efforts, including setting up displays and maintaining visual standards.
  13. Adhere to company policies, procedures, and guidelines to maintain a safe and secure working environment.
  14. Contribute to the overall team effort by accomplishing related tasks as needed.

Skills and Qualifications:

  1. High school diploma or equivalent; additional education or certification in retail or sales is a plus.
  2. Proven experience in a retail sales or customer service role is preferred.
  3. Excellent verbal communication skills with the ability to engage and connect with customers.
  4. Strong interpersonal skills to build rapport and establish positive relationships with customers and colleagues.
  5. Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and handle multiple tasks simultaneously.
  6. Basic math skills for processing transactions and handling cash.
  7. Knowledge of Puma products, sports apparel, and footwear is desirable.
  8. Familiarity with retail point-of-sale systems and inventory management software is an advantage.
  9. Ability to adapt to changing priorities and customer preferences.
  10. Attention to detail and ability to maintain visual standards.
  11. Strong problem-solving skills and ability to handle challenging situations with professionalism.
  12. Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as per the store’s operating hours.
  13. Physical stamina to stand and walk for extended periods and lift and carry merchandise when required.
  14. Positive attitude, enthusiasm, and passion for sports and fashion.
