The Senior Site Planner will be responsible for developing, maintaining, and managing detailed project schedules for construction activities. This role requires strong analytical skills, excellent communication, and the ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams to ensure timely project delivery while adhering to McDermott’s quality and safety standards.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and manage comprehensive project schedules using project management software (e.g., Primavera P6, Microsoft Project).
- Collaborate with project managers, engineers, and other stakeholders to define project scope, objectives, and deliverables.
- Monitor project progress, identify delays, and implement corrective actions to keep the project on track.
- Prepare detailed reports and presentations for management and stakeholders, outlining project status, risks, and mitigation strategies.
- Conduct regular site visits to assess work progress and ensure compliance with schedules.
- Support resource planning by analyzing manpower and equipment requirements for ongoing and upcoming projects.
- Participate in project meetings, providing insights and recommendations based on schedule analysis.
- Assist in the development of project budgets and forecasts related to schedule impacts.
- Ensure compliance with safety, quality, and environmental standards during planning and execution phases.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field.
- Minimum of 5-7 years of experience in construction planning, with a focus on large-scale projects.
- Proficiency in scheduling software (Primavera P6, Microsoft Project) and other relevant tools.
- Strong understanding of construction processes, project management methodologies, and industry standards.
- Excellent analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
- Effective communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate with diverse teams.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple priorities.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Certification in Project Management (PMP, PMI-SP, etc.) is a plus.
- Experience in the oil and gas or petrochemical industry.
