Overview
We are hiring an energetic, passionate and experienced candidate for the position of Factory Manager at DMart.
Duties and Responsibilities of Factory Manager:
- Oversee and manage the daily operations of the factory, ensuring smooth and efficient production processes.
- Develop and implement production plans and schedules to meet production targets and customer demands.
- Monitor and control production costs, optimizing resources and minimizing wastage.
- Ensure compliance with safety regulations and maintain a safe working environment for all factory personnel.
- Lead and supervise a team of factory staff, providing guidance, training, and performance feedback.
- Coordinate with other departments, such as procurement, quality control, and maintenance, to ensure seamless operations.
- Implement and maintain quality control measures to ensure the production of high-quality products.
- Identify process improvement opportunities and implement strategies to enhance productivity and efficiency.
- Monitor and analyze production data, identify trends, and implement corrective actions as necessary.
- Collaborate with engineering and maintenance teams to ensure the proper functioning of machinery and equipment.
- Manage inventory levels and oversee the procurement of raw materials and supplies.
- Develop and maintain standard operating procedures (SOPs) for various production processes.
- Stay updated with industry trends, new technologies, and best practices to drive innovation in production processes.
- Prepare regular reports on production activities, performance, and progress towards goals for management review.
- Resolve any production-related issues, conflicts, or bottlenecks in a timely and effective manner.
Skills and Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in engineering, manufacturing, or a related field. A master’s degree is a plus.
- Minimum 2 years of working experience in a managerial role in a manufacturing or factory environment.
- Strong leadership and people management skills with the ability to motivate and guide a diverse team.
- Excellent organizational and problem-solving abilities.
- In-depth knowledge of production processes, quality control principles, and safety regulations.
- Proficiency in using production management software and tools.
- Strong analytical and data-driven mindset to monitor and optimize production metrics.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate with cross-functional teams.
- Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines without compromising on quality.
- Knowledge of lean manufacturing principles and continuous improvement methodologies.
- Familiarity with relevant industry standards and certifications.
